This June features a return of the successful Summer Satellite Reunion series which we held last year in five major cities around the US, and brought more than 100 alumni and students together for an event that is mix-and-mingle networking and a mini-reunion, all rolled into one. Graduation Celebration 2019!

Graduating seniors from all four of our Student Publications, their family and fellow publication colleagues are welcome to celebrate their proud achievements of the past four (*or more...) years, as we hold a special catered reception and share cake, along with photo opportunities, in our beautiful building.

Please join us immediately following the University of Michigan's Commencement Ceremony in the Holly and John Madigan Newsroom, approximately noon-2pm, on Saturday, May 4th, 2019.

TAILGATE 2019!

Alumni, students, and our biggest fans are welcome to join us for this annual tradition, warming up for the football game (UM v. Rutgers) in comfort and style at Stanford Lipsey Student Publications Building! It's a party in the parking lot (and inside the building, as well) where we'll have festive food and refreshments, several hours prior to kickoff - more information and exact time TBA. Scholarship & Awards Celebration 2019!

On Sunday, Sept. 29th, 2019 we'll host a celebratory brunch and featured speakers, for a special time to recognize our 2019 Scholarship & Award recipients and their acheivements, while honoring the inspiring donors and alumni who make it all possible. Stay tuned for more details, as we move our annual event to a new season and a new location, Trotter Multicultural Center's new building at 428 S. State Street. 

Alumni Talk with Mark Dillen

Mark Dillen is an international media and communications consultant with a long career in US Foreign Service. Recently he was a Fulbright Scholar teaching a course on US news media to graduate students in Lviv - his second Fulbright in the Ukraine. While in Foreign Service, Mark managed media relations for US embassies in Rome, Berlin, Mosco, Sofia and Belgrade. He was Director fo the Office of Press Relations at the Department of State, and a Diplomat-in-Residence at Johns Hopkins.

Alumni Talk with Barbara McQuade

Currently a University of Michigan law professor, Barbara McQuade often appears on NBC News and MSNBC as a legal analyst. She was a sports editor at The Michigan Daily during her undergraduate years, and worked as a sports writer and copy editor before returning to law school here. In 2009, President Obama appointed McQuade to serve as U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan–the first woman to serve in her position.
