Scholarship & Awards Celebration 2019!

On Sunday, Sept. 29th, 2019 we'll host a celebratory brunch and featured speakers, for a special time to recognize our 2019 Scholarship & Award recipients and their acheivements, while honoring the inspiring donors and alumni who make it all possible. Stay tuned for more details, as we move our annual event to a new season and a new location, Trotter Multicultural Center's new building at 428 S. State Street. 

Shown in photo: 2018 Ray O'Hara Award in Sports Writing at The Michigan Daily recipient Orion Sang, who won this merit award supporting a Daily sports staff member with an investigative, ethical style that exhibits candor, a search for truth, and a sense of humor. The award was established by current Board Member, Alan Broad (UM ’70) in 2003 in memory of Ray O’Hara, a sports writer for The Daily in the mid-1970s who was a personal friend of Alan's. 

Our annual celebration of the students who receive these special tributes, and the unforgettable individuals whose legacy they carry on, is an extraordinary event. We look forward to our donors, alumni, family and friends joining us for this heart-warming gathering.
